1. About the Incident
On the 7th February Total Wellness Therapies and Mood In Mind in relation to specifically to Tanya Genito’s cloud service identified a malicious cyber-attack involving unauthorised access to our digital filing system. We immediately engaged Geeks Are Us, and since identifying there was personal information of parties involved Harvey Norman IT Firm, to secure our systems and contain the breach as well as add above industry standards to all her systems now.
2. What Information Was Involved?
Some of the affected files contained professional records. We have identified that these files included personal information regarding individuals who are / were clients we cannot reach through contact details on file or are not direct clients of our service, but who may have been mentioned within correspondence.
The categories of information potentially accessed include:
- Full names
- Information of personal nature
- DOB
- Address
- Phone numbers
- Medicare number
3. What We Are Doing
We have taken the following steps:
- Contained the breach and reset all other system credentials. Upgraded all security to above current industry standard.
- Notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
- Notified the AASW
- Enhanced our monitoring protocols to prevent a recurrence.

If you believe you may have been mentioned in records held by Total Wellness Therapies or Mood In Mind we recommend you:
- Remain vigilant for any unusual or suspicious contact (emails, calls, or texts).
- Review your privacy settings on digital settings
- Monitor your Medicare claims and or provider numbers.
- Contact us directly if you have specific concerns regarding your personal information.
